Well this past weekend my oldest and the child that made me a mom for the first time turned sixteen years old.. I am torn between being happy and excited for him and sad.. I cannot believe how fast these sixteen years have gone. I am so very proud of him and the man he is becoming.. he is responsible, kind, caring, helpful, a great student, a good big brother, easy going, thoughtful, handsome, funny, he loves dirtbiking, and drawing, and history and reading.. he also loves Hunting,snowmobiling and woodworking, and photography, he still likes baseball as well.. He is well just such a good all around kid and we love him like crazy.. I am not so crazy that he can get his learners permit and it studying to do so.. not because I think he will be a bad driver.. oh no no.. because I dont trust everyone else out there driving with my son's life... ya know.. I know I have no control over some of these things.. like him getting older.. but I will say I have enjoyed the ride so far.. and have enjoyed being his mom for every single minute of these sixteen years so far... Happy Birthday Zachary.. I love you more than works can ever say.
